Michelle Houchin, President of Adkisson Search Consultants has more than 30 years’ experience in the healthcare and executive recruitment industry. For more than 16-years, Michelle has shown impeccable talent in placing ideal candidates in the right cultural environment through her work with Adkisson Search Consultants, a nationwide search firm specializing in Executive, Physician, Advanced Practitioner, and Allied Health Professionals.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, IN and holds a Master’s Degree in Leadership from Walden University. Michelle is certified by the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE), has earned the designation of Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS), is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), and the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA). In addition, Michelle actively participates in educational curriculums through the American Medical Group Association (AMGA), and state hospital association conferences. She is a current Board Member of the American Red Cross Central and Southern Illinois Region and in addition, serves as the Co-Chair on the Board Development and Engagement Committee for the Board. Michelle holds a seat on the Governing Board for the Community Cancer Center and was recently elected as Vice Chair of the Board of Managers. She has also received the distinguished recognition from the Rotary Foundation as a Paul Harris Fellow. Michelle is an active member in her church serving on the Parish Council Board.

Shannon L. McKay, RACR, PPMC, CMPE

Shannon McKay is the Vice President of Adkisson Search Consultants, a national search firm in Bloomington, IL specializing in the placement of Executive, Physician, Advanced Practitioner, and Allied Health Professionals. Shannon joined Adkisson Search in 2002, which launched her more than 16-year career in healthcare recruitment. Previously recruiting Information Technology Professionals, afforded her to seamlessly transition into the healthcare industry. Shannon obtained her Degree from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, IL in Corporate Communication and Journalism.

Shannon serves as a Director on the Board of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Central Illinois Chapter where she is also active on the Education Committee and Chair of the Recruitment and Outreach Committee. She has been a recipient of the American College of Healthcare Executives Regent’s Award, demonstrating leadership, innovation and creative management. She is also a member of the Medical Group Manager’s Association (MGMA), earning the Principles of Practice Manager (PPMC) credential and Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE). Additionally, Shannon networks and participates in the American Medical Group Association (AMGA), and state hospital association conferences. Her dedication and passion for cultivating strong relationships have resulted in the ability to match the desires of the healthcare professional to the needs of the client.
