Classical (Benign) Hematologist

In partnership with Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group, Adkisson Search is currently seeking a Classical (Benign) Hematologist to join the renowned Hematology Division at Houston Methodist Hospital, consistently ranked the #1 hospital system in Texas by U.S. News & World Report. This is a unique opportunity to practice within a thriving academic medical center located in the heart of the Texas Medical Center—one of the largest and most comprehensive medical campuses in the world. We are seeking a compassionate, patient-centered physician to diagnose, treat, and manage non-malignant hematologic disorders. This role is ideal for a physician passionate about delivering high-quality, evidence-based care while contributing to research and education in a dynamic academic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of benign hematologic conditions, including anemia, clotting disorders, sickle cell disease, hemophilia, and thrombophilia.
  • Perform procedures such as bone marrow biopsies and blood transfusions when clinically indicated.
  • Participate in research initiatives and quality improvement projects.
  • Contribute to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
