Rochelle Community Hospital, a Critical Access Hospital located in Rochelle, Illinois, employs approximately 330–350 staff members and generates $54.8 million in annual revenue. The hospital is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to provide leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight to support its mission and vision.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Demonstrated financial acumen with the ability to analyze, interpret, and apply financial data to develop and implement innovative healthcare delivery models that drive both short-term performance and long-term organizational success.
- The CEO demonstrates a highly visible leadership style, maintaining regular contact and interaction with staff, physicians, and patients. This includes consistent rounding throughout the organization, engaging with patients’ families, and having informal hallway conversations with employees.
- An exceptional communicator, the CEO must be an attentive listener with a genuine sense of empathy for diverse perspectives, and be able to clearly and effectively engage in all settings, from meetings with government officials to interactions with employees across Rochelle Community Hospital.
- Proven project management experience with the ability to plan, organize, and execute initiatives, transforming strong ideas into tangible products, services, or deliverables.
Position Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in a healthcare, business administration, or related field. An equivalent combination of progressive senior-administrative growth, work experience, and education will be considered.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in healthcare, business administration, or related field.
- Fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives (FACHE).
Salary is $300,000 annually.
