Billy D. Adkisson, MBA, FAAHC, FACHE, CMPE - CEO Billy Adkisson earned his Master of Business Administration from The University of Illinois in Urbana, IL and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Illinois State University in Normal, IL. In addition to being a Fellow in the American Association of Healthcare Consultants, he is also a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and a Certified Medical Practice Executive in the American College of Medical Practice Executives. Billy has given over seventy speeches for national, regional and local healthcare organizations and is a recognized authority on healthcare issues. He has started two successful physician recruiting firms, including James Russell, Inc. (JR) and Adkisson Consultants, Inc. After selling JR, which at the time was one of the top five recruiting firms in the nation, Adkisson took a brief retirement and then started ACI. Billy has placed hundreds of physicians in solo and group practices, healthcare systems and academic medical centers across the country. No one in the physician recruitment industry has more experience or a better knowledge of healthcare than Billy.
Michelle S. Houchin - President Michelle Houchin earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, IN and has also been qualified as a Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS). Before joining ACI, Michelle was the Senior Network Development Coordinator at Eye Care Plan of America, a national vision managed care company. She was responsible for developing physician networks while also managing a department of eight recruiters. In addition to her time at Eye Care Plan of America, Michelle worked as the Credentialing Coordinator for Arnett Managed HealthPlans in Lafayette, IN. During this time, she prepared for NCQA accreditation. Her strong background in credentialing and physician relations prepared Michelle for the challenging positions of Account Executive, Partner and Vice President of Recruitment. In addition to managing the daily activities of all recruiters, she effectively works with clients such as The Medical College of Georgia, Geisinger Health System, Lahey Clinic, SHARP Rees-Stealy and Saint Francis Medical Center.
Shannon L. McKay - Partner Shannon McKay received her Bachelor of Art in Corporate Communications from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. Upon graduating, she worked as a recruiter of Information Technology business professionals for the support and development of business applications. Her strong work ethic and tenacity in the IT field laid the foundation which has led to her success at ACI. Since joining the firm in 2002, Shannon has excelled as a recruiter, Account Executive and eventually Partner. In addition to recruitment-related activities, she effectively works with clients such as Kansas University Medical Center, Baystate Regional Medical Center, Sacred Heart Health System and The Methodist Hospital-Houston, specializing in systems that have large recruitment needs. She has successfully placed many physicians and is the ACI expert in pediatric subspecialties.
Harvey Pettry, FACHE Harvey has over 35 years of hospital administration experience. He has served as a State Delegate for the American Hospital Association and was a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Illinois Hospital Association. Harvey is a recipient of the Justin Ford Kimball Innovator's Award presented by the American Hospital Association. He holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Health Services Management.
